The Story

Waveshare have packed a whole bunch of features into this little board, giving you a compact 1.3" LCD display tied to an ESP32-S3 along with an IMU, MicroSD slot, lithium charging and more!

The tiny IPS LCD display is just 1.3" with a 240x240 resolution, offering 262K colours - all driven via SPI. On the back is an ESP32-S3 with 512KB RAM and 384KB ROM, supported by onboard 8MB PSRAM and external 16MB Flash memory. It features an onboard ceramic antenna supporting the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5 (LE).

You'll also find a QMI8658 6-axis IMU (3-axis accelerometer and 3-axis gyroscope) for detecting motion/gestures, a MicroSD slot for storage, and an MX1.25 (PicoBlade compatible) lithium battery connector and charging circuit (PL4054) with charge indicator LED.

Power and programming are handled via a USB-C connection sandwiched between the display and PCB. USB-C cable not included - grab one here!

Please note - the battery connector is not the 'usual' PH2.0 type, it's a tiny PicoBlade-compatible MX1.25 socket. We're sourcing some PicoBlade LiPo batteries, but in the meantime, you may want to grab a cable like this and adapt your existing LiPos.
